A German trio consisting of Stefan Schwander, Mark Matter and Florian Meyer, Durian Brothers perform with two prepared record players (without vinyl) and a sequencer equipped with effects. They describe their music as “dense and fuzzy”, built with elements of “polyrhythmic para-funk”, “distorted electronics”, “infinite 90 bpm excess”, “hypnotic rhythm n noise” and “diskant sequencing”. Durian Brothers recently released a split-EP with Ensemble Skalectrik (aka Ekoplekz) on Fatcat.
