Deepchord is the dub techno project of Rod Modell, an artist influenced by the "Basic Channel" sound as well as Detroit techno who has managed to craft his own unique voice. Dating back to the late '90s, the project is acclaimed for its precise analogue sound, as well as its use of field recordings. Recent work has seen Rod Modell drift further from club music, into more experimental realms.
