Natural Snow Buildings
In a world where "underground" musicians clamour for space on the web, hoping for attention on blogs, music sites, forums and the bookings that follow, mysterious French duo Natural Snow Buildings appear to defiantly resist the prospect of typical success. They do this by releasing much of their work in very limited runs, often on cassette and CD-R's, and rarely appearing live. Far from being a marketing ploy, this seems to be their conscious decision to remain unfettered by the expectations of the market and blogosphere.
But despite their (possible) intentions, Natural Snow Buildings have developed a devoted following, for music that combines elements of psychedelic folk, drone and ambient soundscapes. It has led to more "official" release of their work on various independent labels, and they have started performing a few very select shows.
One of these will be at Unsound in Krakow.
