THE GENERATOR ANALOGUE ORCHESTRA / ZA SIÓDMĄ GÓRĄ

An electronic combo in the following line-up: Wojcek Czern (Bruel & Kjaer generator and filters, EMS Synthi A), Robert Niziński (Bruel & Kjaer generator, saxophone, clarinet), Maciej Rodakowski (Bruel & Kjaer generator, saxophone), Piotr Zabrodzki (Bruel & Kjaer generator, minimoog), Andrzej Załęski (drums). They will present a live score to the early silent sci-fi movie "Aelita," shot in 1924 in the Soviet Union. Inspiration will come from traditional Martian music, peformed for the most part on original tube generators manufactured in early period of Cold War.

The Generator Analogue Orchestra has emerged from ZA SIÓDMĄ GÓRĄ: an inbred, musical vehicle evoked in 1987 by Wojcek Czern (hit in the head at that time by OBUH) and since then existing in the form of recordings, speeches, plays and concerts.

Wojcek CZERN - the founder of "OBUH" ("Sounds of the Sidings") recording label, the vintage analog recording studio "Rogalów Analogowy" and ZA SIÓDMĄ GÓRĄ. Collects vinyl records and early electronic sound devices. Likes to sniff American vinyl covers from the 60's. Sunday musician. Does what he may.

Robert NIZIŃSKI - musician, composer. In the mid-90s toured and recorded with an experimental folk music group "The Moon" ("Księżyc"). Works with sound installations, writes film music and creates sounds for web services and multimedia projects.

Maciej RODAKOWSKI - Saxophonist with ZA SIÓDMĄ GÓRĄ, as well as his own projects WISŁA PŁONIE TRIO, TRICPHONIX STREET BAND, SLAVONICA and last but not least NACZYNIA.

Piotr ZABRODZKI - pianist, guitarist, composer. His music combines jazz improvisation with sonorism, heavy metal with electronics, all seasoned with humour. His versatility is evidenced by the number of bands in which he plays: LXMP, Baaba, Efekt Moozgu, Trylobit, 60 Minut Projekt, Senk Ze, Blast Muzungu, SEMAPHOR COMBO. Collaborated with leading avant-garde musicians including Yoshida Tatsuya, Zdzislaw Piernik, Kazuhisa Uchihashi.

Andrzej ZAŁĘSK - co-creator of the Otwock Commune, collaborated with the Gardzienice Theater and the Academy of Motion. Co-editor of the Alternativi TV program. As a musician (drummer) has played in bands such as: Multicide, Mitch and Mitch, 3 Meters, The Seventh Mountain. Collaborated with many contemporary artists, incuding: Jerzy Mazzoll, Andrzej Przybielski, Pavel Fajt, Praffdata band, Joe Giardullo, Eugene Chadbourne, Charles Hayward, John Hegre and Tatsuya Yoshida. Since 1993 he has worked as an art curator of the “Zone” project at the Center for Contemporary Art in Warsaw, where he organizes concerts, film screenings, festivals, etc.
