Autistic Daughters

Autistic Daughters graft emotive pop and rock structures onto experimental music, revealing the various backgrounds of the band's members in improvised, electronic and rock scenes. Legendary New Zealand singer-songwriter Dean Roberts delivers haunting vocals and plays on guitar, while Austrians Martin Brandlmayr (Radian, Trapist) and Werner Dafeldecker (Polwechsel) are on drums and bass. With two records on Kranky, the songs of Autistic Daughters build and shift slowly, carefully filling out skeletal structures to mutate the idea of rock songs. Their latest album, Uneasy Flowers, was released in 2008 to glowing reviews around the world.
