Banabila / Zenial
Banabila is a Dutch composer and producer, who uses acoustic instruments, found objects, electronics and field recordings in his music. He has worked with the Moroccan singer Ali Bahia El Idrissi, released dark ambient works, and also received the prestigious Dutch Edison Jazz Award for the CD VoizNoiz 3 with trumpet player Eric Vloelmans. Zenial is a Krakow-based Polish producer and sound experimenter who has released solo works as Zenial and Palsecam, as well as part of the duo Aabzu with Maciek Szyczuk. He has played at different festivals around the world. Zenial & Banabila will play live for the first time to celebrate their Audiotong release Signals From Krakrot, the results of a long-term collaboration between these two artists, The music is a mix of what they are both known for; Banabila’s chilled sound gets new dynamics when spiced with noisy elements from Zenial, and Zenial’s dark drones and soundscapes become more accessible when played in the context of this duo.
