BLACK TAXI RIDE THROUGH TOWN DURING UNSOUND! GREAT POLISH MUSIC TONIGHT IN MANGGHA! EASTERN BRIDGES SERIES BEGINS!

During Unsound 2011, the Polish duo Black Taxi are staging special projects throughout the city.
Yesterday afternoon they performed in the window of a building on Plac Nowy in Kazimierz, attracting a crowd of (mostly) random spectators below.
Tonight they will set up an installation involving a pool table, pool player and sound. This will take place upstairs in Manggha at 6.57pm, before the concerts downstairs.
Then, tomorrow, they will play at 4pm in the lovely (and surprising) Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, ul. Grodzka 52a, in the Old Town.
Also keep in mind that the Eastern Bridges series kicks off in Klub RE this afternoon, with i/dex and The Volume. Curated with festivals and labels from Central East and Eastern Europe, the series runs from Tuesday - Friday.
Tonight in Manggha there is a great night of Polish music including Niwea, drawing inspiration from both 80s cold wave and 90s hip-hop. LXMP is a duo made up of Piotr Zabrodzki and Macio Moretti: they will use drums and MS-20 synths to reinterpret Herbie Hancock's classic album "Future Shock." A special collaboration between Poland's Napszyklat and iconAclass featuring MC dälek will round off the night. Doors open at 7pm, and the shows start at 7.30pm. Tickets will be available at the door.
Finally, you can also catch Robin Fox giving at talk today at Bunkier Sztuki at 5pm. Free!
