INNER TUBE SHOW REPLACED WITH MARK McGUIRE SOLO SET! VISUAL PROGRAM ADDED TO BASS MUTATIONS! OPENING NIGHT AT ISSUE PROJECT ROOM SOLD OUT!

The third edition of Unsound Festival New York begins this Wednesday 18 April, lasting 5 days until Sunday 22 April.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Inner Tube have had to cancel their show on April 20 at (le) Poisson Rouge. Instead, Mark McGuire will perform solo. Apologies from Unsound and the band for this change, but as anyone who has seen the Emeralds' guitarist can testify, Mark's shows are always spellbinding.

Meanwhile, a visual program has been added to Bass Mutations on April 21, showing the ways in which visual artists have helped shape the way we imagine bass music. Curated by "Big Up Magazine" Editor-In-Chief Katya Guseva in collaboration with Dave Q from Dub War NYC, it will take place in a movie theatre adjacent to the dancefloor at the venue for the night, IndieScreen. Live audio from Bass Mutations performers such as 2562, Teeth, Sepalcure, Distal, Throwing Snow and Nguzunguzu will provide the soundtrack.

The international array of featured artists includes Brooklyn-based Sougwen, Takafumi Tsuchiya's work from Tokyo, Berlin-based Turkish artist Ali M. Demirel, London's Shantell Martin, Ashes 57 and Benny Ill, New Yorker Raz Mesinai, LA's Subtranca, Brazil's Ivy Abujamra, Nicolas Dufoure from France, Miguel Vega from LA/San Diego and Zurich-based Francois Chalet. All this has given a whole new dimension to the Bass Mutations program we're very excited about. Tickets to Bass Mutations are available via the Resident Advisor website.

Finally, tickets for the opening night at ISSUE Project Room with Julia Holter, Jenny Hval and Julia Kent are now sold out. We suggest you buy tickets for other Unsound Festival New York events in advance to avoid disappointment. A reminder that you can also RSVP for the free music LABS day shows on April 21 and April 21 at ISSUE Project Room.
