One of Poland’s most renowned orchestras is set to perform with two of the Unsound headliners this year: Sinfonietta Cracovia.
Sinfonietta will perform on Thursday 22.10.2008 with the Icelandic composer Johann Johannsson, to present a stunning show that will merge classical music, electronics and video. Providing an extreme contrast, opening will be James Blackshaw, solo on stage with his 12-string guitar. The performance will take place at Krakow Philharmonic Hall.
On Friday 23.10.2008 an octet from Sinfonietta Cracovia will perform with the American duo Stars of The Lid in St Katherine’s Church, a 15th century gothic church, a show that will also involve the visuals of Luke Savisky. Also performing on this night is ambient music legend Bisophere.
Both of these events will be co-presented by the acclaimed New York series, Wordless Music, a partner of Unsound for Unsound Festival New York in Feb 2010.
