A big thanks to all artists for making the opening of Unsound 2012 a special event indeed - especially KTL and their memorable 90-minute performance with the classic silent film "Sunrise".

Tonight's show at Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology includes three of the world's best known musicians working with noise and extreme music, including the first Polish appearance of Keijji Haino - with his legendary band Fushitsusha, Kevin Drumm and Vatican Shadow (aka Prurient). Tickets are still on sale, and will be available at the door.

Following that is a free event at Radar Gallery with Bambino Sound System DJ'ing Polish sound postcards from the 60s, 70s and 80s on two Bambino 4 portable record payers. Expect low sound quality and questionable mixing skills, but plenty of spirit.

Today also sees the start of Unsound's wide-ranging discussion series in Bunkier Sztuki, with a Q&A with Andy Votel presented with The Wire at 5pm.

An exhibit of Unsound posters and flyers also opens today in Bunkier Sztuki, dating back to the very first edition in 2002. This starts at 6pm, after the Q&A with Andy Votel.

Note: the festival office is open from 12:00 - 18:00 every day in Pauza Gallery at ul. Florianska 18 - where you can buy tickets and pick up your wrist band / passes.
