Unsound is co-curating a night at the brand new Blumenbar/Prince Charles club, a collaboration of three festivals presenting variants of current innovations in the fields of House and Techno, drawing a curved line from the minimalistic but versatile sound of Dresden's Uncanny Valley (Jacob Korn and Cuthead), to the performative beatsmithy of Bucharest's Rochite, Cosmin TRG's ghostly techno blueprint, up to Jam City's explorations of stripped down Bassy House.
It is part of the "ICAS SUITE," a project by CTM within the 2nd Berlin Music week, and takes place this Thursday on 8.9.2011.
ICAS is International Cities of Advanced Sound, a network of which Unsound is a co-founder. In total, 30 organisations and festivals on 5 continents joined forces to (co-)create projects and foster discourse, and thereby promote artistic development at the interface of music, art, technology and society. In the four-day ICAS SUITE - from 7 - 10 September - ICAS-member festivals from Europe and North and South America will present a selection of their work and the most exciting artists in their networks at Festsaal Kreuzberg, Monarch, West-Germany, the Paloma and the new Blumenbar club.
