Two of Unsound's most recent commissioned projects have been included in the program of MUTEK Festival Montreal, one of the world's most prestigious events for electronic music.
The first of these is Biosphere & Lustmord present: TRINITY, a work that had its premiere at Unsound Festival New York last April and sees these two giants of experimental music explore in sound the first tests of the atomic weapons in the New Mexico desert. With visuals created by MFO, this piece was performed at the opening of MUTEK Festival last night at Monument National.
This Friday June 1 Kode9 and MFO will present their piece Her Ghost, a tribute to Christ Marker's La Jetee. This work was first shown at Unsound Krakow 2011.
More details are available on the MUTEK website.
As a member of ECAS and ICAS (European/International Cities of Advanced Sound), representatives of Unsound are also present at MUTEK for a symposium entitled "Tools For an Unknown Future" and an internal network meeting.
