The Unsound-commissioned project "Solaris" was composed by Ben Frost and Daniel Bjarnason, inspired by the novel by Stanislaw Lem, as well as the film adaptation by Andrei Tarkovsky. It has been released as an album and already performed in several European locations and New York.
Tomorrow night, Saturday November 3, the piece will be presented as part of the Iceland Airwaves Music Festival at the Fríkirkjan Church in Reykjavík. This show is part of a wider showcase of Bedroom Community artists at Iceland Airwaves, including the debut live show from Paul Corley, who has just released his evocative and immaculately produced album "Disquiet".
"Solaris" will also be included in the Unsound Adelaide program in March 2013, as part of the acclaimed Adelaide Festival.
