Unsound Festival is joining forces with Krakow’s Pauza and Warsaw’s detroitZDRoj to present 2 parties at the start of October.
The first will take place on 1.10.2010 October at 1500m2 in Warsaw with SBTRKT and Redinho in the line up. Supporting will be bshosa, Dr Dip and The Phantom. Then on 2.10.2010 October in Krakow, Untold will enter the fray, replacing SBTRKT to headline with Redinho, bshosa and Zeppy Zep.
One of UK bass music’s hottest acts, SBTRKT is an anonymous producer from London who performs behind a tribal mask. He has remixed for Basement Jaxx, Gorillaz, Modeselektor and Franz Ferdinand among others, but is perhaps best known for his 2020 EP, which blended deep house, funky techno, broken beat and UK funky. His Warsaw DJ set will be his Polish debut.
Untold made a jaw-dropping debut at Krakow Unsound year, followed by a show at Unsound Festival New York, at the Bass Mutations night. We’re stoked to get him back to Krakow once more, for this Unsound Festival warm up. As Resident Advisor wrote: “If you have yet to be impressed by Untold, you must not have been paying much attention to bass music…” Come witness him perform another mind-bending set. Hyped by the likes of Radio 1, Anthony Shakir and Hudson Mohawke, Redinho released his debut EP with Numbers earlier this year. Called Bare Blips it contained eight tracks of amazing genre crossing digital exploration that was described by one critic as “a Commodore 64 in a tumble dryer or survival-horror-dubstep”. It’s clear that Redinho is one to watch. He’ll perform live, and these shows will mark Redinho’s Polish debut.
The events will give audiences a taste of what looms on the horizon for Unsound Festival 2010, when a massive number of names land in Krakow, Poland, to play on four club nights at Unsound Festival 2010. Headliners include: Shackleton, Mount Kimbie, Kyle Hall, James Blake, Lindstrom, Oni Ayhun, Actress, Dorian Concept, Mike Huckaby, TRG + Falty DL, Terror Danjah, Petre Insperescu, Derek Plaslaiko, Badawi, Jackmaster and Deadboy - plus many others.
