WEEKLY AND LONG WEEKEND UNSOUND PASSES ON SALE! FULL 2010 UNSOUND KRAKOW WEBSITE SOON, AS WELL AS INDIVIDUAL TICKETS!

Weekly and weekend passes to Unsound Krakow are on sale at www.ticketpro.pl and associated outlets. Priced at 200 zloty (approx 50 Euros) and 160 zloty (approx 40 euros), these are available in limited numbers. They will sell out, as they did last year, so be quick.
The sale of individual tickets will begin soon, with the launch of the full 2010 Krakow website. In the meantime there’s a schedule here, detailing dates and concerts, so you can already start to plan you time.
As for new announcements, here they come…
On the opening night concert, Icelander Daniel Bjarnasson will conduct Sinfonietta Cracovia, performing his own work as well as music from a couple of well known horror films (we’ll keep the names secret for the moment). As well, Swedish multi-media artist Marcus Fjellström will join forces with fellow Miasmah label artist Elegi and Sinfonietta Cracovia to create a new work, "Lichtspiel Mutation #1". This will be a visual/musical meditation based on Hugo Fregonese's horror drama "Man in the Attic" from 1953, a Jack the Ripper narrative.
Polish band Baaba play at the opening party, presenting their interpretation of Krzysztof Komeda’s “Fearless Vampire Killers” score, take from the Roman Polanski film. Swedish duo Roll The Dice is also set to perform.
Norwegian Noise/Experimental/Metal act Jazkamer will shred eardrums on the same line up as Shining and Monno.
Other extreme sounds will come from Carlos Giffoni, mastermind behind NY’s No Fun Fest and label. He’ll present the “No Fun House of Horror” in the daytime program on 23.10, a showcase including Carlos himself, as well as a special one-off collaboration with Norway’s Hild Sofie Tafjord and Polish sound artist Anna Zaradny. Brooklyn based Noveller will mellow things out with a hypnotic guitar-based show. Germany’s Black to Comm has been added for a Sunday daytime show.
A final round of club artists added to the program include Jacek Sienkiewicz, Derek Plaslaiko, Spatial, Jackmaster, Deadboy, DaveQ, Badawi, Beatbully, Melkeveien, Kontext, Jigoku, The Phantom oraz Zeppy Zep!
Once again: get moving now to secure your passes; more very soon when the full website is up and individual tickets go on sale.
Unsound Krakow 2010 is organized within the framework of Norwegian Financial Mechanism, in partnership with Insomnia Festival in Tromso and Reykjavik Round-Up.
