Giorgos Xylouris is a Greek lutist virtuoso and singer hailing from the island of Crete, a descendant of a musical clan from Anogeia, a mountain shepherding village near the Cave of Zeus. Innovative dummer Jim White is best known as a member of The Dirty Three, as well as a collaborator with the likes of Nick Cave and Will Oldham. Together they are Xylouris White, a duo fusing traditional Greek folk music, punk, rock, jazz and more via passionate and labyrynthine rhythmical constructions.
