It’s the Eight and Final Day of Unsound - Here’s What’s On!

It’s the last day of Unsound – the end of the marathon lies in sight!

As we’re posting this news, the Mazury Klub Afterparty is still taking place at 89 beneath Hotel Forum, until 14:00. If you’d like to pop in you can purchase tickets at the door.

Other than that, we’re starting later today, with the ethereal sounds of Danish ambient musician Sofie Birch and Polish vocalist Antonina Nowacka at 19:30 in Teatr im. Juliusza Słowackiego. The duo will perform a specially commissioned show to mark the launch of their debut album Langouria, released by Unsound and Mondoj. Featuring costumes and set design by Ukrainian artist Planeta and lighting from Jacqueline Sobiszewski, this concert will be the healing balm we all need right now. Then it'll be time for Space Afrika, the universally acclaimed duo based between Manchester and Berlin, whose 2021 masterpiece Honest Labour helped re-contextualize ambient music, shoegaze and sound art to tell an unmistakably Black, British narrative. This show is sold out. We will sell tickets at the door if there is capacity – no guarantees.

No tears please, it's the Unsound 2020 closing party at 21:30, taking place in the old Central Post Office, Klub Poczta Główna. The live sets are over and it's all DJs tonight, with Warsaw's Bakblivv opening, followed by N.A.A.F.I. affiliate Manuka Honey and DJ Python, whose ‘deep reggaetón’ splices 1990s Chicago with 2000s Puerto Rico. Then, two Unsound regulars – Berlin's Objekt and Poznań's Monster –go back-to-back for the first time in celebration of Unsound's twenty-year anniversary. Kraków legend Olivia plays us out. A limited number of advanced tickets are available online – we’ll sell tickets at the door if there is capacity – stay tuned to Telegram for info.
