Rama

Currently based in Berlin, Egyptian DJ, promoter and label boss Rama snips sounds from across the dance spectrum - from rap and footwork to East African club music and serrated techno - assembling a broad narrative that's impossible to turn away from. She heads up the Irsh imprint and event series alongside ZULI, shining a spotlight on artists from the Levant such as ABADIR, 3Phaz, El Kontessa, Assyouti and Qow, but it's her DJ sets that have seen her star steadily rise in the last few years. With a regular radio show on Noods and appearances on Refuge, Boiler Room and others, her mathematically precise blends and whip-smart level of connectivity put her into a box all of her own.
