Cry (Kilbourne & Relaxer)

Cry only performed their first show earlier this year, but their name's been whispered across the US all summer following jaw-dropping performances at Dripping and Honcho Campout. Made up of US hardcore techno mainstay Kilbourne and Dripping co-founder Daniel Martin-McCormick, aka Relaxer, the band represents both artists' attempts to wrench themselves into a more visceral live environment, where grindcore, high-BPM industrial noise and post-punk can simmer and boil into something vital and new. Both Kilbourne and Relaxer reached electronic music after toiling for years in the moldy basements of the '00s DIY underground, so Cry takes them back to where it all started, crossbreeding underground ferocity with soundsystem pressure.
