For our money the best jungle album of all time, A Guy Called Gerald's epochal 'Black Secret Technology' celebrates three decades of prophetic, amen-crammed domination this year, so the Manchester-born OG is heading to Unsound to perform a special DJ set. Gerald Simpson has gifted the club scene more than most, starting out in 808 State and defining British acid house with 'Voodoo Ray', but his enduring legacy is pegged to 'Black Secret Technology', a soulful reflection of Manchester's melting pot of soul, dub and rave, that prophetically gestures to Detroit techno, krautrock and post-punk without blunting its fangs.
