One of the earliest proponents of Durban's influential gqom scene, DJ Lag has been guiding the genre's evolution since he was just 14 years old, road testing his FL Studio sketches at high school parties. Lag was among the first artists to take the music outside of South Africa, releasing acclaimed EPs on London's Goon Club Allstars and Hyperdub, and has even collaborated with Beyoncé on 'My Power' a track written for 2019's star-studded 'The Lion King' soundtrack. An acrobatic DJ, he'll be going back-to-back for the very first time with Poland-based Kenyan futurist Slikback, who just joined the Planet Mu roster to release his latest bulletin, 'Attrition'. And it's the prolific maverick's most skillful display yet, filled with the kind of weaponized club eclecticism that makes us curious to witness what he'll dream up alongside Lag.
