Talk about reliable. Not only has Miami-based DJ and producer Nick León deployed some of our favorite 12"s for the last few years, from 2022's world beating collaboration with DJ Babatr 'Xtasis' and his syrupy double-header with DJ Python 'Esplit, to last year's summer anthem 'Bikini' featuring Erika de Casier, he's gone and delivered what's surely one of the best albums of 2025. 'A Tropical Entropy' is pure club-pop finery, layered with zesty references, canny techniques and earworm hooks, and bolstered by keen-eared collaborations with the likes of LAVURN (aka Cassius Select) and Ela Minus. It's no surprise that Pitchfork called it "exceptional", awarding the album a coveted Best New Music badge.
