Marcus Schmickler

Marcus Schmickler's music is designed for multi-channel sound projections and references German electronic music tradition, spectral music, experimentalism as well as 1990s club music. His artistic practice explores avant-garde trajectories in electronic music composition, formal systems, sonification and psychoacoustics. Recent notable presentations include Could You Patent The Sun at Monheim Triennale (2020), Ludwig van, Kraftwerk - Eine Kritische Diskothek at Akademie der Künste (2020), Palace of Marvels @ CTM (2020), Treppauf, Treppab (Situated Now, Donna Harraway) at Düsseldorf Rheinbahn (2019), Sky Dice /Mapping the Studio at Donaueschinger Musiktage (2018) and Richters Patterns at Holland Festival (2017).
