Agata Zemla

A biologist as well as a composer, Agata Zemla uses her academic experience in both electroacoustic music and biology to inform her art, investigating the relationship between sound and the environment. On 2024's 'What Field Whispers', for example, writing for the Sinfonietta Cracovia, she played on an amplified "field landscape" installation to interpret Polish realist painter Józef Chełmoński's rural themes.
