Anjali Prashar-Savoie
About
Anjali Prashar-Savoie is a writer, DJ and party organiser. Her debut book, Club Commons: Moving Bodies to Grow Movements in Queer Nightlife and Beyond (Velocity Press, 2026), traces almost 100 years of London's queer nightlife and its relationship to radical politics, theories of the commons and collective resistance. She holds a BA in Social Anthropology (SOAS) and an MA in Art & Politics (Goldsmiths). She was a research resident with the University of The Underground, with a focus on strategies for building radical nightlife communities.
Anjali has written for and spoken publicly at CTM Festival, the ICA, Goldsmiths, UCL and UAL. She is a former board member of the Good Night Out Campaign, currently works with misery, an award-winning QTBPOC+ sober rave and mental health initiative. She is a resident DJ with SISU, a platform celebrating women and non-binary DJs. Together with ex.sses, they run a party series called ~\\LILITH//~
