Daria Hetmanova

Daria Hetmanova is currently pursuing their PhD at the School of Communication at Simon Fraser University, Canada. Operating at the intersection of science & technology studies and critical border studies, Daria’s current project focuses on mapping – both spatially and temporally – the Russian-established system of ‘filtration’ of Ukrainian civilians during Russia’s war against Ukraine. Daria’s work was featured at Cashmere Radio and Mariupol Memory Park, as well as presented at PHI Montreal, Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna, and European New School of Digital Studies, among others.
