About
London based ex.sses forges the energy of a dancefloor through mutant basslines, broken percussions and textural field recordings into a heady haze. Through a love of spacious sound design, ex.sses’’s DJ sets and productions are rooted in bass, texture, and experimentation. Their music explores the edges of mutant club music, low-end frequencies and intricate textural sound design. While their DJ sets are all terrain, exploring a range of genres.
In 2026 ex.sses released ‘Under You’ on Ethos Label (FR) and ‘follow me’ on The Wire’s (UK) 50th anniversary compilation. Throughout 2026 ex.sses has played shows across Europe and the UK supporting artists such as Stephen O’Malley, Andy Martin, Lee Gamble, LCN, Commodo and more. They’re currently working on two EP’s, one rooted in experimental noise music and the other, deconstructed mutant club.
ex.sses co-runs an immersive party series called ~\\LILITH//~ with Anjali, and is part of duo’s EXIT and SLUG. She holds a BA in Fine Art and an MA in Sonic Arts (Goldsmiths). She has developed work as part of an ambisonic research project with IKLEKTIK.
