No stranger to Unsound, Barcelona-based pianist, composer, producer and vocalist Marina Herlop returns with a special live performance of music from her intense new album, 'Dja Dja'. The record follows 'Pripyat' and 'Nekkuja' but plays very differently; conceived as a single interconnected piece, it highlights Herlop's sonic evolution, adding bold brass arrangements and club-inspired rhythms. Classical in all but the sound, it's a well-worn "Hero's Journey" that touches on transformation, self-affirmation and the intersection of delicacy and aggression.
