Ahead of his next album, Tim Hecker will present a brand-new live work with visual artist Vincent de Belleval, pairing Hecker's dense, visceral compositions with a custom-built LED environment designed specifically for the performance.
Hecker has spent two decades pushing experimental music towards extremes of density, distortion and beauty, from the granulated "power ambient" of early works such as Radio Amor and Mirages to his more recent collaborations and film scores. His performances are equally physical, transforming layers of sound into something that can feel architectural, immersive and almost overwhelming.
Blackhaine is a boundary-pushing choreographer, dancer, musician and artist whose confrontational performances collapse the boundaries between club, theatre, gallery and live art. Drawing on archival material, new experiments and the particular qualities of each space he enters, his work is intimate, physical and often deliberately destabilising. Blackhained will also present a new show, titled Saints in the Wethouse.
The setting is the post-industrial space Tunelowa, especially adapted as a core venue for Unsound’s inaugural Warsaw festival.
Another artist will be added to the lineup soon.
