Polish group Księżyc’s first album is the stuff of legend. Originally released in 1996, it did something unique, combining medieval Slavic folk sounds with elements drawn from 20th century minimalism. They reformed in 2013, playing their first live show at Unsound in 2014, and over a decade later they’re celebrating the album’s 30th anniversary with a special Unsound performance, featuring Ukrainian avant-garde icon Svitlana Nianio appearing as a special guest.

Following is Space Afrika – Manchester/Berlin-based duo comprising Joshua Tarelle Reid and Joshua Inyang – who return to Unsound to present a show based around their upcoming album Quiet Storm. A layered, ambitious, widescreen work, the live show will feature electronics, Pike on drums, GABRIEL on guitar, strings, and the voice of Kraków soprano Jolanta Kowalska-Pawlikowska.
