Three artists moving between experimental music, indie rock, noise, folk and beyond. L'Rain is the project of Brooklyn-based producer, multi-instrumentalist and curator Taja Cheek, whose borderless music draws equally from classical training, DIY and noise. Following her acclaimed albums "Fatigue" and "I Killed Your Dog", she returns with fata morgana, an experimental rock record twisted by dub, musique concrète and dream-pop. Manchester quartet Mandy, Indiana mangle rock, dance music, trap and noise into something entirely their own. Following their acclaimed debut "I've Seen a Way", their new work pushes further into a collision of hyperpop, blues rock and freeform experimentation. One Leg One Eye, the project of Lankum founder Ian Lynch and producer George Brennan, brings folk into darker territory, combining field recordings, guitars and electronics. Their music draws on Celtic folklore and black metal, creating something bleak, ritualistic and transcendent.
