Wildbirds & Peacedrums

Swedish duo Wildbirds and Peacedrums have carved a unique place for themselves in contemporary experimental pop music, creating memorable albums such as "Heartcore" and "The Snake" from little more than vocals and percussion. In 2010 they have bravely opened up their sound, to include a 12-member choir arranged by Icelander Hildur Guðnadótir. The resulting tracks featured on the EP's "Iris" and "Retina" will be compiled into an album entitled "Rivers", soon to be released on Leaf. Known for their stunning live appearances, Wildbirds and Peacedrums will perform a very special show at Unsound, playing with members of the Schola Cantorum Reykjavik Chamber Choir - featured on "Rivers" - and Krakow's Octava Ensemble. Making this even more special, the show will take place in St Catherine's, a 16th century gothic church with massive acoustics.
