Jigoku’s film series starts with an all-night marathon featuring the documentary “Future Shock” (1972, US, dir. "Oj, Nie Mogę Się Zatrzymać!" (1975, dir. Zbigniew Rybczyński) is accompanied by musicians Felix Kubin and Macio Moretti, utilizing the score's original musique concrète sounds. The silent Soviet-era sci-fi film "Aelita, Queen of Mars" (1924, dir. Yakov Protazanov) will also be screened with a live score, performed by The Generator Analogue Orchestra with Wojcek Czern, Piotr Zabrodzki and others.

During the 60s and 70s in Poland, at a time when vinyl records were hard to come by, sound postcards became extremely popular. This exhibition not only reveals the forgotten artistic merit of these cards, each with a design or photograph, but allows the public to listen to their songs transferred into mp3 format, drawing attention to the way sound recording technology has changed over time.

“The Man Who Saved The World” (1982, TR, dir. Cetin Inanc) is a bewildering, mind melting rip off of “Star Wars” that defies description. Featuring Turkish action star Cuneyt ‘Lionman’ Arkin, it is a zero budget film, shot in a psychedelic haze with a lunatic editor on amphetamines. The score is mash up of electronic sound FX and ripped cues from “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and “Flash Gordon”!

Appearing with his band, Kangding Ray's album "Or" attempts to depict "the disillusions of modern civilizations." Australian duo HTRK’s new album is meant as an "imaginary party record for the end of time." It deals with themes of “submission, dysphoria, sentimentality, tech-noir and corporate life." Robin Fox, also Australian, provides a high concept bridge with his laser/experimental music show.

Presentation: “Face to Facebook – Hacking Monopolism Trilogy,” with Paolo Cirio and Alessandro Ludovico
Face to Facebook was a social experiment: stealing 1 million Facebook profiles, filtering them with face-recognition software and posting on a custom-made dating website (lovely-faces.com). The aim: to give virtual identities a shared place to expose themselves freely, breaking Facebook's constraints and boring social rules. The reaction: huge media coverage, as well as lawsuits and death threats.

16th century St Catherine's church is the ancient, awe-inspiring setting for Norwegian duo Deaf Center’s contemplative music performed on piano and cello. Ricardo Villalobos and Max Loderbauer appear with pianist Christian Wallumrød to present “Re:ECM,” creating sound structures by drawing on recordings from the seminal German label ECM, thus reworking the past to make something new.

Music with psychic components. Sun Araw melds hazy synth, guitar and vocals to create spaced out sound from a future yesteryear. The Caretaker explores memory via music, expanding time horizons; his Unsound show draws on the documentary version of "Future Shock." Kode9 and video artist MFO create a homage to the sci-fi short "La Jetée," about time travel, memory and nuclear war. Chris & Cosey were both members of Throbbing Gristle, but tonight play their 80s work that helped define the cold-synth sound now in revival.
