Mazzoll plays Responsio Mortifera

Composer, clarinetist, vocalist, multimedia artist and filmmaker Jerzy Mazzoll is co-responsible for the birth of yass – exclusively Polish genre of music with roots in jazz, punk and Zappa-esque surrealism. His idea of „arhythmic perfection” provides a personal approach to improvised music, in which notes are often replaced with drawings. Mazzoll, an ubiquitous spirit, collaborated with the likes of Tymon Tymanski, Peter Brotzmann, Tomasz Stańko, Marcin Swietlicki (most recently), and played in numerous ensembles, strictly improvised or more rock-oriented.
